I have a unique approach when teaching individual students. I get to know them better, know about their influences and the genres of music they love. Then I get to know where they are now and where they want to be in the long run and in the short run. I make a list of goals for every individual student, one for the student and one for myself. That list helps me to taylor the guitar course in a way which benefits the student most in the least amount of time so that they may see improvement quickly without getting distracted by learning things that they won't ever use. I also hand out printed materials, backing tracks and videos to aid in the learning process.
Music theory will also be a part of the course so that the student can write his/her own music and read others' music and also understand the music.
I can teach the student in learning how to do home recording at good quality and give regular feedback so that the student can become comfortable with it and find his/her own tone and record great stuff right at home!
